NYC 3D Print

Made a VR sculpture at home in England, exported it as an .stl file and emailed it to a 3D printing company in NYC. We flew over on Monday for a field trip with 40 art and design students and I arranged to meet the 3D print technician at MOMA to receive my work. We had a dodgy handover at the entrance to the biggest gallery in NYC!

It was incredible to hold something for the first time that I had designed in virtual reality over 4000 miles away. even more strange that someone had made my work and physically seen it before I had! There is certainly something to explore here with regards to digitally sending an exhibition to a foreign country...
