After 3D printing a virtual reality designed sculpture, I wanted to reverse engineer the process and digitally divide the piece into 18mm slices. I then traced over a set of laser cut templates onto 18mm ply and began cutting them out. The ply was not the best grade possible and started to splinter as I jigsawed through it. It had been stored in a shed but the moisture may have gotten to it and caused some voids to appear.
